Manual Requirements AUA-OPS 1

AUA-OPS1 – Commercial Air Transport

All aircraft operating under AUA-OPS1 must comply with the manual requirements outlined in this regulation, which specified the necessary manuals for aircraft operations.

Aruban AOC

Aircraft operating under an Aruban AOC must comply with manual requirements outlined in DD-AOC-F, item 6, titled “List of Documents and Manuals to be Provided”.

Aircraft operating under an Aruban AOC follow AUA-OPS1 regulations.

ICAO Article 83bis Agreement or MOU

Aircraft operating under 83bis Agreement or MOU shall comply with the manual requirements specified in the agreement, as outlined in the delegation of responsibility between the contracting states.

Manual Requirements AUA-OPS 2 (A)

Operators managing aircraft under AUA-OPS2(A) regulations are not required to submit the manuals below for approval.

  • Operations Manual (OM)
  • Maintenance Control Manual (MCM)
  • Safety Management System Manual (SMS)

However, operators must complete and submit INS-3.056CC – Company Compliance Manual Statement, certifying that the company manuals comply with AUA-OPS2(A) requirements. The inspector performing the physical survey of the aircraft, and its technical records may require seeing the manuals during his visit. AMC-038 – Compliance with AUA-OPS2(A) Company Operations Manual outlines the specific requirements for this form.

INS-4.070 AMP Commitment Statement

For the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP), the DCA grants a three (3) month exemption to submit the manual for review and approval. To obtain this exemption, applicants must submit form INS-4.070 while the AMP is submitted to the DCA for its review and approval.

Chapter 5 of AMC-017 outlines the guidance for the development of the AMP as per Aruba Regulations.

MEL & MMEL Authorization

When submitting INS-3.059, the DCA grants a ninety (90) day exemption for the usage of the MMEL while the operator develops its own MEL customized to its operation.

AMC-024 provides guidance on the Aruban requirements for the development of a customized MEL.
